Default The Classics

John Gray appears to have deleted his offerings to the Classics thread.
Seems a pity.
Anyone out there want to help me in adding some of the flies back in?
Cheers, Graham

Might need to do a new post, cut and paste in the existing contrabutions and delete the original from the sticky.

I've just got a new pair of Mallard wings, so I'll take the Mallard and Claret, just leave it with me for a few days to do a decent tying.

Its bronze mallard for the wings of the fly, not the grey primaries from the birds wing.

I'll take on the Grouse and Green if no-one else does. Unfortunately I've no real collection of salmon materials these days so the cascade and stoats tail are out I'm afraid.

I've got some salmon tying stuff but have no use for it if someone gives me a bit of history and the dressing I'll try my best.
Will try the stoats tail tonight after my homeworks finished.

Thanks
AL

Al, thats your job mate
A fair bit of research is put into these posts, some of the best by Midlander and Benlikestofish.
Get googleing and reading through pattern books and lets see what you can come up with.
