Buy a full hares mask in the colour of you choice. They are available from loads of places. Just buy a few packs of this and that to start with and see how you get on.
Good stuff here,http://www.cookshill-flytying.co.uk/hair.htm
Remember to get better effects blend some furs together.
Coarse or spicky dubbing with go onto the thread better if it is mixed with a little finer fur first.

I bought a selection box of Argentinean hare dubbing from Phil at: flytyingboutique.com for 18.95. Comes in a handy box, 12 colours and will last a renowned over-dubber like me a long time. Fast friendly service-problem solved.

Squirrel is a popular & good subs, for hares mask as it is very spiky.
