Wormfly tandem

Hi Guys

Im toying with tying some, however the "weak" point seems to be the "join" between the two flys id hate to loose a good fish due to the joining part snapping !

Never tied a tandem before ive heard theres different way to join them ?

Whats your choosen method ?? tried and tested only please

A piece of braid, whipped and glued to make up the mount. Never had any probs with that.

I used to tie these in the 1970's and if you use a heavy/stiff enough mono to allow the 2 hooks to present correctly, whipped on to both hooks (over an initial run of thread to prevent slippage):- If you think about it, unless your fishing for Tarpon, your tippet will snap way before the join will.
