Default Muskins?

I've been trying to find the dressing of the Muskins nymph which is popular on the Bristol waters. I've found a few different dressings but this one seems to crop up a few times, the pheasant rib doesn't look very durable though. Anyone kow if this looks right?

This one has done some damage locally, though you need to ask Mr. Scratch for the recipe.

It looks very right! That's a delightful interpretation. Love the body and the overall feel of that one. The important thing is the slim profile... much more important than the componet materials.
I just used dyed black pheasant tail on the ones I sent (above) to Mike, which is decidedly brittle, so I counter wound it with fine red wire for a little extra durability. These are so quick and simple to knock up though, that I wouldn't lose too much sleep over durability. Would be a shame to wrap wire over that super body you've achieved there... as mentioned, just wap some sticky stuff down before applying the body.

Cheers Bruce and Rob,I tied a few up and superglued the body before winding the rib and they do seem stronger.
