Default unknown flies

well i have aqquaired sevral flies that I don't know the name of and I was wondering if you could help. Unfortunately my computer is unable to post pictures so I'll have to describe them.

1) a treble fly with a golden body, some white hackle feathers at the top and flurecent yellow tail.

2) another treble, black all over apart from the pink body

3) similar to the last but it has a silver body and the blac tail goes out about 7 cm

4) fly with a green body and a multi coloured tail including colours such as purples, yellows and oranges. gold hook.

I have more but the box is in the basement so unable to get. if anyone knows what these are can you please tell me? I think I might have recieved the last one from someone else who tied it for me so it might not be well known or have a name.

Without pics everyone will be guessing. Don't worry about it.... flies without names still catch fish

They would appear to be some kind of salmon/ sea trout flies.
Seem a bit basic going by your description. Perhaps they are not recognised patterns rather someones flight of fancy?
As Scratch says pretty much impossible to name without a picture.

This might help,

Lightbulb Fishing photo section of the board.

Go to the main menu and you'll find two main sections. The first has a three parter that covers damned near anything you'd ever need on the 'how to.' Very well done, to put it mildly.

This thread covers, 'now that I've taken the photo, how do I post same:' Instructions for posting photos
