Default sedgehog heads

Hi everyone ,a simple but only if you know how question on neat SEDGEHOG HEADS. Ive started tying them and have had great success lately but on seeing a FULLINGMILL TYING in my box that had loads of DEERHAIR on it HOW do you tidy the head like that with so much material to tie down They even put a black hackle on after that Any info would be gr8, thanks again all

Davy McPhail does a fiery brown hopper on utube, i know its not a sedgehog but its tied with roe deer hair and it may be of some help regards Duncan

I get a few tight turns of thread onto the deer hair then cut as close as you can get to the thread then go to the eye and work your way back covering all the loose ends.

As well as all the above posts, you didn't mention what thread you were tying with. That can make a lot of difference.
