Really need to get a new camera, my mobile just isn't up to macro.
Anyway, a few mayfly spinners to be going on with, comments welcome as always.

Like the first one.

I bet 'Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines' is a firm favourite in your movie collection.....

Pardon my ignorance, but is that a pair of hackle pliers you're using to hold the fly?

PS, you're definatly doing better than me - mind you that wouldn't be difficult, another day, another bent hook!

Perhaps aquiring some kind of stress ball would be a smart move?

Fly clips! Our very own 'Scratch' sells them, here on the forum.

sorry to say but your first fly will sink like a brickyou let the body floss slip down over your hook bend and lower the tails, you need to practice on a more uniformed body shape and not the hills effect you've got, not enough hackle to aid floatation, but on the whole, not a bad effort, just don't show the fish this one

sorry old boy but your first fly will sink like a brick you've let your body silk slip over your tails and forced them downand you need to practice on getting a more unified body shape and not the hills effect you have now, too many turns holding tail down only need 3/4 turns and i suspect your using a thickish thread?? not enough hackle to aid floating, but, on the whole a fair try, just don't show the fish this one

Thanks for the comments Grenadier, but I have to disagree. The body is poypropylene, and the 'hackle' is deer hair wings, both excellent floaters. As for the thread, it is 6/0, which I don't think is too thick for a size 10 hook. Appreciate what you say about the tails being down though.
