Tidy tie and I like the idea but I don't like the legs , what are they ?? Have you chopped the ends off or what ?? They look really stiff , I would prefer something light and with movement .

The legs are just pheasant.Ive seen a lot of hopper patterns with knotted and trimmed legs,so i thought why not.

Thats as maybe and who am I to disagree but it aint for me , especially on a pattern that is to sit and not be pulled .

Nothing wrong in your tying please to think that is what I am saying , just don't like the legs is all

I will use stiff legs made from 2 fibres of PT knotted and tied in short over the back of dabblers as the stiff legs really scratch the surface and make a wake ...

Put it this way if you look at something like a dead daddy in the water just sitting there it will not be all stiff but will still be moving from the movement of the water , especially the legs .
