Default Do napthalene crystals stain capes?

I've been putting a pinch of napthalene crystals in the bottom of the bag with the cape.

I noticed staining on the back of a couple of cards, could this have been caused by the crystals?

I can't see any damage or staining to the cape, am I doing right?

Thanks.

Also chocolate labs will eat a full Golden badger whiting cape in approx the time it takes to run down the garden from my study. Strangely it was me that was spitting feathers......

Bear,

I would guess that the stain on the back of the cards is fat from the skin of the cape leeeching out - nowt to do with the crystals.

I have dozens of capes and saddles for my Spiders Plus tying and I seed every one of them every few weeks with napth' crystals - I have never had problems with the feathers being stained.

Kind regards

I'm with Spiderplus on this one - I have the crystals in the box rather than in the bag with the cape, and there's still a bit of staining on the cards with some of them.
