If memory serves me it was just a pretty ordinary damsel with bead chain eyes and a long tag (tied round the bend) of flou green , on a heavy weight hook, bead was tied under the shank.

tightlines jonboy.

Hi Gaz
The Down N' Dirty Damsel is one of Charles Jardine's excellent patterns which dates back to the mid 90's, and was designed to be a slim yet heavily weighted dressing for fishing with a floating line. The eyes are much heavier than bead chain to get the fly down and give it it's particular action
The original tying according to CJ is as follows.
Hook 10-12 (Typically a B175)
Thread - Olive
Tail - Mottled marabou in various shades
Body - Mixed damsel blends (Signature series)
Hackle - Dyed Partridge
Thorax - Crystal Hair in various greens
Eyes - Painted mini lead eyes

pm me your details and I'll put one in the post for you so you can see how it should look
Paul
