Buzz, top pic, botton right hand corner .....just wondering what those flies are made of , apart from CDC and (probably) microfibbets. Is that body quills ? Did you get to use body quills with much success this season?

Just Sheer thread (14/0), give me a break, they are size 20s or something.

I tried body quils on dries and can state categorically they are pi5h on floating flies

I tried piles of nymph bodies with them and while some were no more effective than regular patterns i stumbled upon one colour combination that proved great for Grayling, no surprises it had a pink ar$e and a gold bead. TBH it takes so long to knock up i only have a few left and use it as a last resort.
