i am looking for someone to tie me some tenkara style flies.

i will obviously pay for the flies.

for reference please look at Tenkara USA

say m8........the flies I use for this method are nothing but small "Spider" flies [soft hackle], so there is nothing special about them........AW

This is not a true Tenkara style fly but it has a similar look.

I am sure someone will oblige, at least they will be better looking than the ones on the website which in the main are poor.

They look like Spiders but are fundamentally different. The hackle points forwards so that the fly pulses when it is animated.

But AW (others) make/raise a good point. Save for the 'hackle' pointing North vs South .. are there any other differences?

No offense intended Mr. T as these things intrigue me as a possible late/low water summer run Steelhead fly. With different 'ties' I could see these as fished 'damp' just under the surface, could be another 'arrow in the quiver' for low water flow fishing conditions.

For some reason I preffer my own flies to purchased ones, so just of curiosity I tried this one. It was not too hard, and seems to have the Tenkara look.

Kamasan B110 #12
tan UNI 8/0 thread
tan Muskrat dubbing
India hen hackle
faux Peacock dubbing
