legs,legs,legs
There have been a few flies on here all sporting knotted PT legs.
My question is this, how much do you think they improve the pattern?
Buzzers and sedges dont have the legs, hawthorns and daddies do, so what are the patterns imitating?
Hawthorns and daddies are fringe players at best, the bulk of the trouts diets being made up of buzzers and sedges.
Are the legs acting as out riggers to help support the fly in the surface?
Would it make a huge differance if they were not there?
Your thoughts please.
