Default Grousewing...Sedgehog Style.

Day-Do-Doh-Dont-Day-Doh.

Hook: Hyabusa 373 size 14.
Wing: Five bunches of pale-ish roe deer.
Body: 50/50 blend of olive and chocolate seal fur.

Lots of grousewings coming off in the evenings just now up at Gladhouse, this pattern ginked up and fished singly as a dry, caught me a shed load of fish in the space of an hour during a hatch last night. To be honest, the colour probably doesn't matter a great deal. The profile is the important thing....thought it was worth sharing nonetheless....

Point taken Steve...the profile of the dressing doesn't even come close to the natural. It works a treat though, maybe its an exagerated caracature thing....

No point intended! (I was just proud of my pics)

But it does go to show that you don't need to be imitative to catch.
