They are just 10's b175's and any time for the melvin.If you are even fishing the melvin open there might even get a pair!!

Cool.

What material is the blue in the bumble? I tend to use blue jay, believing (possibly incorrectly) that jay is the standard, but your feathers look like something different.

Hi Neil,

Yep you and chunky are right it is cobalt blue guinea fowl and blue jay is the usual shoulder feather.I would tend to use guinea fowl on my top dropper (more bushy) flies as it gives more movement than the stiff blue jay fibres.Guinea fowl tends to pulse when pulled and I think give the fly a more attrctive movement.However I would use Blue jay on my smaller bumbles which I would fish further down the cast.In these positions I think the colour of the real jay is more important and effective rather than the movement.
