Talking my first attempt at a klinkhammer

ok be gentall heres my first attempt at a couple of klinkhammers tryed them out yesterday and they got hammered so i guess they must be ok?

Nothing wrong with the tying from what I can see but a request for a new camera for Christmas might be in order.

Good try Ryan,
If you look at any of the originals (google them) and you will find that the bodies are relatively slim. But these will work anyway.

as stated there slightly bulky in the body and a touch to much wing
other than that there good efforts, what is the wing material?

i was a little short on materials so i used cock cape for the heckle and egg floss for the wing,not sure if it was right but they work so guess thats all that matters.i hae done as addviced and made some more alot less "bulkie"

Look there are two types of fly one that will win prizes and one that will catch fish i know which one i prefer!!!!!!

I'm with you.

I think they look quiet nice though. First one I tied I messed up securing the hackle and it fell apart after 3 fish. But still it caught 3 Itiny) fish!

I use yellow poly yarn with an orange flurocensent painted top to improve visability in the water and standout from the white foam that often appears on the water and distracts my eye from a white yarn post. I am liking the eggfloss. The important thing is the underneath view anyway and the nice thick hackle looks like it would obscure view of the post.

what do you mean mate.... your meant to use cock hackle
i like the egg floss for a wing, but trim it down a bit to pick the bigger wiser fish where did you get the floss from?
