Just messing about as I was clearing up tonight , tied a Dabbler using the "odd bits" I had laying about . Copper wire , Mirage Tinsel , Red Holographic Tinsel , Gold Holographic Dubbing , Fiery Claret Dubbing , Autumn Brown Hackle , Bronze Mallard

Not the best pics but you get the idea

Might even give it a swim tomorrow when I am out , think it will stand the best chance in a little bit of sunlight ....

Very nice Danny, from something that was heading for the waste paper bin, you have created a fish puller.
Hope it works for you the morrow.

Very good ST - you would probably have a field day going through mine.

Like the look of it Danny but have some reservations on whether the head/thorax wrapping could take a lot of use or fish.
Nice though, let us know.

Cheers Mike . The head area is fine , it is a method that gets used on my wet mays . It is no weaker than any other part of the fly really . It doesn't matter if it gets mauled by the fish a little as the whole point of it is that it is a scruffy/lively part of the fly

Cheers

What materials have you used in the tying mate? as i might tie some up.
Glad to hear the head stays firm, or as it should be.
