Default How do you store Tools and Material?

I have now been tying for a couple of months, and as with most hobbies been gathering a lot of bits and bobs. I would like to know what you use to store your fly tying tools and material in. I have seen on the market the Fly tying bags from Wychwood and Sceirra, but i want something more sturdy. I have looked at tool boxes but they not for me.

Anyway please let me know how you store your fly tying bits at home.
Regards
Ian

Sorry to say shamus but in my opinion the £15 from wilkinsons a lot better and nicer to the eye.

No need to be sorry Taff.

Agreed, it isn't pretty on the eye but I like the clear view boxes. It wasn't intially intended to be used for materials....etc. It has just proved functional for storage.

I use a set of plastic drawers like this for most of my tying gear.

Large 4 Drawer set

I see that they also have a set with shallow drawers that might be pretty handy too.

Ian, I got them for £12, when they were on offer at Wilkinson's! They're excellent, I bought two of the large draw versions for my fly reels and lines etc, and the smaller draw version for my fly tying tools etc, All you'll need - and they're transparent!

Been buying fly dressing materials for 3 + decades so have a fair bit ,
Regular use stuff has become "filed" in ziplock bags ,ie all materials for one pattern in one ziplock bag.In some cases like my pink grayling bugs it's all in there ,thread on a bobin holder, furs ,shell back, ribbing and the hooks.
Non regular capes are stored again in Ziplock bags in a large commercial size cigar humidor.
Threads tinsels flosses and similar are in a compartmented tool box in the top set of trays.below are winging furs again in ziplock bags ,dubbings are stored in a couple of business card holding books,as are many packets of hooks.

There is also a large metal box with ziplocked bags of stuff that i rarely use ,like trebles these days ,somewhere at the bottom of the pile.
