That's so spooky. I was stroking one of the neighbour's cats yesterday and thinking the same

Nice, Steve! Did you complete the Great Circle of Life, i.e., feed the trout to the cat so it has more protein to make even more fur to catch even more fish etc. etc.?

I'm afraid I cheated my cat out of his dividend by letting the trout go - he can have a share of the next stockie I catch on them

The bugs are on a size 14 - the cat brush thing is like this one but a bit smaller, I guess anything like that would work. Gets lots of soft underfur, combs don't seem to get as much fluff. I just took a pinch of the fluff and snipped it up with scissors to make dubbing. I think some people use coffee grinders, but putting cat hair in the kitchen utensils would be more than my life's worth

The pale ginger fur goes nice and translucent and buggy when wet. I've got some from our black cat and our tabby too, but I haven't tried those out yet:

I'm reckoning that cat wouldn't be needing any flies to catch his tea

Best think of a name for the cat fly then Steve...pussy?

I'm sure people on here will have a few ideas.
