Default Another little olive

I've been tying lots of olives recently, this one came from a pattern in "Flies of Ireland" I changed the hackle to claret hen, mainly because I thought it looked good!

Any comments gratefully received.

Cheers - Steve

Very tasty Steve, a fish catcher if ever I saw one.

A very well tied fly and would grace any box, but most importantly - will catch fish.

Well done and thanks for showing us.

Thanks for all the kind comments gents. Strange you should mention the Harry Tom Midlander, I did tie a few similar to the above with a bronze Mallard wing but they were a little less neat. I defy anyone to get a neat wing using bronze mallard, I just roll it, tie it in and console myself with the fact that they all look messy after a few casts anyway!

Cheers again - Steve
