if by 'sea trout', you mean what we have here on the west coast..'cutthroat trout', then I would suggest to you, a 'rolled muddler'..

I will try that
I ended up tying up a load of butchers doubles and singles down to a size 14.
I might try a wake fly but i have never done it before, only after success do you use the method again and again so got to start sometime.
Anyone had much luck with wake flies?

Munro

I've used them in the past to see if any fish are about, as they'll often rise to a wake fly, but they can be buggers to hook on one though.

ive heard that the wake flies are good for quickly fishing over a pool as an indication to whether there is any fish in the pool.

I have some big double muddlers i can try as a wake fly.
I will report back if they work

I have been tying up butchers and tonight i made up some magpie and silver doubles and singles.
I think they should do the trick
