SUMMER DUCK SKIN/FEATHERS

can anyone tell me where to get summer duck feathers or a skin from
for a fair price and obviously good qaulity, much appreciated

Cookshill would be the best bet,I know Steve usually has them, but as for the price, they are expensive feathers. THere is only a small band of them on each bird so, unless you are tying Catskill Dries that require precise amounts of wing and need the extra stiffness these provide I'd use dyed Mallard or other barred wildfowl.
I get my Summer Duck in the States but it is proving more difficult every year to find nice matched pairs.

I was under the impression these feathers came from a Carolina Wood Duck, a close relative to The Mandarin. I take it you are looking for the Lemon coloured barred feather. If you are stuck I can spare a few to keep you going.

Why is it so funny and why bother posting a copy of the pm you sent me?? Correct and it sold for £40 and that was before you even became a member, price increased on 1st April and this was purchased on the 20th and RRP on these is now a staggering £75 so still cheap at £55 which it sold for 5min ago My apologies for trying to help out, will know next time.

as for when i became a member....thats irrelevant to my knowledge

If you would care to look at your wee clock you would see I only replyed to the thread because you felt the need to share our PM's with the forum which I may remind you is AGAINST forum rules for what reason well only you would know. With regards to helping myself, get real boy, you asked where you could get a skin, I told you I had one for sale as that is what I do for a living with 20% of the RRP. I only hope you appreciate your freebies and dont treat the guys who have been so generous like mugs. Due to your childish behaviour I for one wont give you the time of day from now on.

what was (funny) is iv had materials from you before, plus your reputation
isnt too good, because im a new member to the forum you didnt know im not

i was looking at the skin for £40 last night with no SOLD sign on it which you do when there sold FACT! then you told me it was sold and you have another for sale!......oh look its £10 more
