Default Red legged Partridge

I was standing in the garden last week when there was a huge crash and I found a dead bird on my lawn. It looked as though it had been hit by a hawk in flight and its trajectory took it to me. Looking in my bird book it is a red legged partridge. I now have a pile of feathers in a variety of colours from dull brown to multi-hued and really fell that I should make use of them.

Suggestions from the panel would be appreciated.

regards

Vince

Thanks for the advice but could be a bit ambitious for me. The dog was in the garden with me and thought that a takeaway had been delivered. Presumably, the right way to treat them is to steam then freeze before storing?

regards

If the dog's been at 'em mate chuck it & buy some from suppliers on the forum, they're not expensive but are very useful for Mayflies etc !!

p.s. your dog's got good taste - I LOVE Partridge
