Default matarelli whip finisher - any good?

I'm looking for a good whip finisher and have narrowed my choice down to a matarelli. Just thought I'd ask what you all thought about it before I commit as it's not the cheapest.

Cheers

Mark

Default materelli

The Materelli is what I use and i,ve found it to be one of the easiest to use. Not cheap as you say, but the best. Money well spent in my book.

Why ask the question then it's only a few quid?

Please join my next fly swap and show us the results?

As I'm limited to purchasing this item mail order I won't be able to look at it and make up my own mind until after I've purchased it. I was simply hoping for some of the forum members who were familiar with this whip finisher to confirm, as they kindly have, that this is a good product.

I know it's not a lot of money but I try not to buy things that I then have to sell at half price on fleabay.

Don't get me wrong STD, your input was also much appreciated, in the same way as the others, and I'm quite sure that you're correct and that the Veniards is also a good whip finisher.

Cheers

Mark

Unless you're arthritic, fingers are better, faster, more sensitive, cheaper & don't usually get lost or tangled up with other materials on your table

No probs Mark, I've tried all sorts at my tying group and actually prefer the Veniards to the more expensive ones so was a genuine comment my end but horses for courses as ever, don't think you'll go far wrong with this style.

Must spend a few hours learning how to do it with the tools provided at birth!
