Default Beginners Fly Swap - Cats Whisker & Variants

Hi All,

I've spent all weekend tying allsorts of fritzy and marabou laden flies and think I need a challenge to force me into improving my technique.

There's alot of talented tyers on here and I would be quite apprehensive about joining in a swap being so green at this - therefore I'm inviting anyone who is a relative beginner to join in a swap.

The fly will be a Cats whisker, and you can tie any variant you feel comfortable with. This is a pattern I've had alot of success with and am interested to see what works for other people.

Size 12 or 10 Hook.

No other restrictions.

PM me if you're interested.

Group extended to 10 tyers, tying 11 flies. 11th fly to go to Casting For Recovery.

Lets try and get people joined up by the weekend, with the aim of getting finished flies to me by the end of the week after (21st May). I may put this date back a bit if we're struggling to get them together...

Cheers! (I hope I've done this properly... please feel free to chip in and put me right)...

Default Size 8?

I'd like to be a part of this, could I do mine in size 8?
These have been working for me recently and are the only size long-shank I have at the moment

I don't see why not, 10-12 was only a guide really. My fly box won't turn it's nose up at it!

One more then I'll PM you all my address.

Rich

Damn,
I missed out, but how does having five participants save money? Everyone sends an SAE and I doubt even ten leaded Cats would push it into the next weight.

If you want an extra entrant, I'm up for it.
