Default Foam Daddy

Haven't used foam alot when tying and this is my first foam daddy.So any hints or tips would be much appreciated.

That will most likely fish upside down, if you have a hackle underneath it you'll find it could flip the fly over. Try dropping it on a glass/sink of water with a tippet tied to it. When that happens, the easiest way around it is to clip away the downward fibres or use a length of foam underneath the body to flatten them, it'll float like a cork then.

Just had to trim the hackle back a touch and now it sits nicely on the surface.Cheers

I agree with arkle, trim it underneath. Otherwise cant fault the tying though, very nice.

Could anyone tell me a good place to buy foam daddy flies. I recently bought some from the essential fly and they sank, the foam they used looked too dense. I want a fly that want sink even with a team under it.
