Default EP fibers

Hello,

I am trying to find a good online store that sells EP fibers or a good alternative.
Do you guys have your favorite, dependable online "outfit" where you get yours?

Thank you for your suggestions.

Roman

Try looking on trade classifieds for funky fibre, exactly the same and cheaper, good service too from Toby.

Thanks for all the praise guys.
Just to let people know i have increased the pack size of FunkyFibre so you get even more now.
I will stick up a new thread over the weekend with all the latest information and include the colours that are in stock.
I also have some superb dumbbells in and totally new eyes.
I think a Bank holiday weekend special is in order.

Thumbs up

I've been using Toby's Funky Fibers for a wee while now too and like it lots - can't grumble at the value for money, it's excellent.

Do yourself a favour and get a hold of some of his eyes too - superbly finished and a brilliant range of colour options.

Top drawer service from a top bloke.

Sorry Sculpin, but Toby's Funky Fibre is not exactly the same as EP.....That is not to say that it is not good stuff, far from it, it is great, as is Toby's service.

EP which I have been using for a good few yeards now, is a little coarser than Funky, which IMO is perfect, as each has its own uses. When I want to tie subtly toned flies with only a hint of flash, I use EP for the larger profiled baitfish, and Funky for the smaller baitfish patterns, and carapaces of Merkin style crab patterns, Toads etc.,......The one peculiar thing about the two is, that whilst you can easily match and blend together EP Fibres, and EP Silky Fibres (which are even finer than Funky) you just cannot blend EP and Funky together.....It just will not stay together.

Such a pity, for it would be great to tie the rear hi/lo tie portions of a big baitfish pattern with Funky, and then switch to EP for the main body and shoulders....But as I say, the two are not compatible with each other in this respect.

Incidentally, I don't use either when I want a good amount of flash in my fly, switching to Steve Farrar Blend instead.
