the best pattern for yellow may duns i have found is a small yellow wulff tied on a size 10 or 12 a river i fish has a good hatch of them every year and that pattern works best . i have tried others and bought flies in shops that say they are yellow mays but none compare to this.

Thanks Guys.
I have some nice yellow CDC here and some yellow deer hair so i think some cdc and elk would do.
I assume that they are a bit smaller in size to danica danica??
I have some superb sulphur yellow detached may bodies that i will try.

Toby

You could do a lot worse that to try a traditional Adams on the Usk when the Yellow Mays are about. Works well for me. Another is a Partridge and Yellow when fishing a team of spiders.

Cool.

I'm sure they are almost as effective as the olive versions.
