Default Bank Buster Buzzers

Hi all,

Just an update, found out that they are sold by essential fly, they are on their web page, I am just new at tying, therefore looking at the buzzers does not help me identify the material used, can someone who has that skill please help, I know this is a big ask, but I am desperate to try and copy them buzzers............................Thanks Jim

I have never used them, it would be interesting to know if any forum members have, do they live up to the hype, I cant see anything special, just look like many skinny buzzers.

I may be wrong with this. It just looks like black thread body wrapped touching turns then ribbed back up with the same thread. The colar behind the head looks like Globrite floss then the head built up with the original black thread. Finish off with a couple of coats of varnish on the head.

cheers

Alan

Guys,

Thanks for the replies, I saw one first hand the other day, They have a shell back, looks like pearl mylar or similar, but it is what is underneath it that has a kind of orange colour to it (tangerine kind of colour) this is also used at the thorax, I can't explain how it looks it appears to have plenty depth to it, and when its in the water it reflects light very well...........Thanks Jim
