Default Sparkle Dust

I've been having a look through Gwilym Hughes's website, especially the SBS section for some of his flies, and he makes reference to Sparkle Dust quite often. Scroll down the following link and have a look at the SBS for the coch y bonddu beetle:

Fly Dressing

What is it?? and where can I get hold of some? is it simply the glitter stuff that my kids keep spilling all over the living room floor mixed with a bit of superglue??

Cheers

FJ

i would say so, have a look around art and crafts stores or the arts part in tesco and so,on.......or try some mirage on the head, i think the idea behind it must be to achieve the greeny blue sheen on the head and back of beetles.
