Default Kamasan K40 Hooks

I've been offered a quantity of these hooks at what seems like a bargain price.
Are they any good as I've never heard of them before?

They do seem to be a lighter wire and longer shank than the B170's.
I thought they were surface emerger hooks?

Seems to be a 'budget' version of the B400 without chemical sharpening - not sure if that makes a huge difference or not.

You can get them from here for £20 per 1000.
