Silver Invicta Dabbler


Hook: B175 10,12 or 14.
Tail: A few fibres from a yellow GP Body feather.
Rib: Silver wire.
Body: Flat silver.
Body Hackle: Grizzle hen dyed ginger.
Cloak/Wing: Nat bronze mallard.
Cheeks: JC splits.
Hackle: Grizzle hen dyed blue.
Thread: Black UTC.

Claret Dabbler


Hook: B175 10 or 12.
Tail: Pheasant tail dyed claret.
Rib: Oval gold.
Body Mix: Seals fur - claret, black claret, dark brown, red.
Body Hackle: 1 Grizzle hen dyed claret, and 1 natural black half stripped.
Cloak/Wing: Nat bronze mallard.
Cheeks: JC splits.
Hackle: Grizzle hen dyed blue.
Thread: 'Wine' UTC.

V.Sexy Bisto Boy...... The blue Grizzle hen is a nice touch.....very sea-trootish I reckon.

BTW.....your claret grizzle hen looks much redder on this screen. The cape I got from Lakeland was a much darker claret than that...?

That's cos it's one of Gerry's.... hence the addition of half a black hackle.

So, the Lakeland ones are darker? ........I'll have to give them a try I've never been shy of hoarding a shade or five

Very crimson with maybe a touch of magenta I'd say, nice.

Is this the 2010 claret then mate?
