A drop of acetone sets the floss into a hard finish ,used some to make grayling bugs a while back ,sadly cant source a pink acetate floss or would be using it for long lasting quick ties !

Andy, Danville's do a pink acetate floss but I can't find a U.K stockist. You could try a felt tip after tying, before you treat it with acetone. Steve Parton does a nice "Ghost white" that might be suitable.

thanks, sounds useful for buzzer bodies? its white/clear in colour now but judging by the colour loss in the other flosses could have been any colour to start with,

I do love easy ties ,after lunch grayling day flies just seem to worship the tree gods!
I do use a goldy and a purple acetate bug from time to time but pink just works so well on my bit !

I have a lot of acetate flosses I got for nothing some time ago - I'll see if I have any pink stuff.
