Default Coq de Leon hard to find

Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can buy a good Whiting (Or equivalent quality) CdL saddle or neck.
I ave looked at a few websites, but they seem to be hard to find.
Also, I am a bit confused as to which colour is the best choice for general use on dry hackles/wings., and tails.
Any help gratefully received.
Cheers,
Gary.

They do, but they are showing as out of stock, as are most sites I have checked.
There are a few on Fleabay, from USA, but I would rather buy from a forum member if poss.
Thanks though,
Gary.

i don't know if he still does it, but Steve Parton has in the past & he's a forum member, I'd call or p.m. him as it might not be on his site.

Feathers for tailing you will find but I doubt you will get many if any capes in the UK.
Quick question, why a cape? the feathers on this bird are quite long in fibre & a suitable hackling feather is hard to find unless you trim them.
have a look here for info on this bird.
Quick hint, if you are going to go down this road get feathers from Spanish birds & not home or USA produced, even Whiting can not replicate the original, unless they are feeding them uranium grit.

Thanks for reply Highlander. Thats a very interesting link.
I was saying cape, because that's what I thought I wanted. I am new to tying, so having found out the cost of a good cape, I am now thinking it would be a bit of a waste of money at this stage.
It is primarily for tails, so maybe they are available as packs for that purpose?
Bit more research on my part methinks.

Thanks for the replies,
All the best,
Gary.

Thanks for that, Marco.
Very nice site, most interesting.
Just one more question, What is the difference between "Indio" and "Pardo" ?
It's probably a stupid question to some, but I am learning !!!
Thanks again,
Gary.
