Default Unraveling spools

Hi Folks,

Has anyone found a soultion to this? I've been using a small blob of blutac but it does work its way onto the threads/tinsels etc.

Any help most appreciated as the gremlins have been busy in my cabinet and some of the spools are in a right mess again.

Cheers,

J

C & F do snazzy stainless steel clips, but they're horrendously expensive (no surprise there then) & only fit one size of spool.

Tried elastic bands, they rot. Blu tac, didn't work very well for me but I do have 250 + rolls of thread.

Saw somewhere that black plastic ring binder clips can be cut down & used, not tried it yet though, has got to worth looking into as very cheap !

elastic bands or try the misses, they use them thin hair bands like coated elastic bands wich prevents ware and rot to the elastic.

Got a daughter/niece/lady friend? Hair elastics, like these, whole range of uses, including tippet spools, fixed spool reels, even spare spools of fly line

edit: somebody beat me to it

I just peel back the sticky label and tuck the end under there.

I have to say that it isn't perfect though... I was dismayed to see my gold wire had sprung the other day and try carefully as I might I still added a kink to it :S
