Default Good Marabou?

Hi All

I am sure it has been asked before, but;

I am after some good marabou for both lure tails and for making decent cormorants.

The stuff I have does not seem to be lending itself to producing nice slim cormorant plumes. Should I be using 'bloods'??

Any suggestions as to what type of marabou I need for both and from whom?

Many thanks

Ben

Do not use the stuff, but I know how Dave Downie does his & I will bet there are not many if any others out there that take so much care & attention to detail than he does.

Whatever type of marabou, and from wherever you buy it, it is the fine pointed strands from the TIP area of the marabou plume that are used for cormorants. Normal marabou has these tip fibres, so if you already have some you don't need to shop around just yet.
These fibres are good useful for mini lures too........ Cats Whisker, small damsel types etc.
