Default a small problem, advise please,,

recently started tying flys on size 20 hooks by a well known brand but of the 8 fish cought that day i used 4 flys up as the hooks had started to straighten out , any recommendations on hook brands in size 20 and 22 that are strong ?

What brand were they Fred ?
Kamasans usually work for me.

I think you'll be lucky to find anything that will last much longer as it's simply a matter of metal fatigue that is magnified tremendously for every size/wire gauge that you go down. I.E. the less metal used when taking the same amount of strain is bound to fail sooner than the next size up.

Kamasan make some hooks called Animal. They do an eyed version and you will find them in the match section of tackle shops. Check them out. Super strong and really stay in.

If you bought these hooks recently, take them back, they are faulty. I had size 22 partridge hooks years back that snapped whilst tying on them. I sent them to partridge and they gave me a couple of extra packs because they were faulty, over hardened. The hooks you describe sound the opposite.
