Hi Michael,

Sorry to say that you've more chance of finding rocking horse manure . . . . .
You're talking about probably the rarest colour of cape going !

That will be why I can't find any for sale. Recommend a good alternative, (though I've been told to try and get that rather than a subsitute)? I suppose I could always buy a few chooks and get the kitchen knife out

This is the bird.

Feathers are a dark Blue Dun, very rare & even harder to come by.
Have never seen any for sale. I had a few many years ago but all used now.

I love Andalusians but they really are a bu gger to get the blue dunn colour your after.
Out of maybe 20 eggs I hatched this last 2 years, only 3 have been the lovely blue dunn colour the rest were black or splashed . If you are lucky to come across 1 be very very carefull you don't end up paying big bucks only to find out it's black.

Good luck

Although not perfect, I've used use Metz "Dun" in the past. Not quite iron blue but a more obtainable option and nicely glassy. If you go for that option by mail order, make sure you get dun, not light blue dun or medium dun.
