Bought one of the cheap eBay photo studios off Amazon, this one is the Konig Photo Studio 10 and it consists of a 15" cube that folds flat, four backdrops (white, black, red and blue) and two desktop lamps to light the sides of the cube... oh yes there's a Tripod in there but that's pretty poor quality.
Here are the results, these were taken using my Panasonix Lumix DMC-TZ7 using Macro zoom mode.
First, the little brother of my (originally) detached mayfly design..
a biot winged duck fly (think the body should go further round the hook on this one really).
and a Caddis test pattern, Olive Maribou broken out through Grizzle Cock to give the impression of leaves (same piece used for the tail). Peacock Herl thorax and un-separated Wood Cock wing hackle which should give some movement up front... we'll see what the trout think anyway.
So, generally I'm pleased with the thing. It folds up small, cost less than £40 and came with the lamps (ok, they aren't really powerful and they DO get VERY hot but they will do).
The only really annoying thing about it was that even though the backdrops will fit unfolded inside the case, to keep them nice in storage they folded them in 4 and stuck them in separate plastic bags. So some very careful ironing is required on a cold setting to get all the creases out.
