some early season sandeel patterns, being tying lots of these recently, heres some i finished tonight. useing that horrible 30 min epoxy :twisted:

anyways happy enough with them

Try substituting the green with tan for a more realistic look.

i have manys of times
i do a little tan etc too

however my results over the last couple of years clearly show greens/charetuses/lime greens/yellows/lavendor.

do much better than natural look.

On the last pic. I noticed that you tied the saddle hackles in tip first, is this to give them more "kick" ? Perhaps this is not the most secure method of tying them in even if the quills are double tied.
