Quill Bodies

Hi all
When tying peacock quill buzzers do you still varnish the bodies.
If so is it ok to Sally Hanson Hard as Nails

if you dont they wont last very long.

Hi Gazza! yeah mate, thats the one, sally hansen, i do about 4 thin coats and leave a 12 hours in between, ATB Ian

Try 1 coat of superglue then couple coats of sally's

48 hrs to finish a fly .. WHY 12 HRS , it only needs around 10 mins to harden and when ya put other coats on no matter how long ya leave it it softens the coat underneath any way ian ??

Bruce! its just the way i tie mate, normally after work then when i get up for work i give another coat which is approx 12 hrs then off to work and home have a shower then my dinner, another coat of sally hansen, which is another 12 hours later.
