Uses of golden phesant tail?

Any uses for this material, golden pheasant tail, for tying trout and sea trout patterns or do i give it to a friend who ties salmon flies.

use it on your wet flies

I presume you mean as a wing, what about the red side things?

Trying to recall what exactly they were used for, irish shrimp flies keep coming to mind though.

Nice for using to wrap nymph/buzzer/cruncher/DB bodies etc., then counter wound with wire. Like normal Pheasant tail though, the dyed stuff can be very weak.
