I'd have my suspicions on the quality for that price for 1000. Seems almost too good to be true.

In my opinion the hooks are the most important piece of fishing kit you will use as it catches you the fish and bad quality hooks can result in many lost fish and fish of a lifetime etc. I would stick with kamasan or fulling mill. I bought hooks of ebay and never again, they bent in the vice when wrapping a thread body and then snapped when I tired to remove this bending.

For £20 you could 200 kamasan hooks and you will know that they are quality. Also I dont think its worth it to have soo many hooks unless you going to tie commercially. I tend to buy hooks as I need them, recently bought enough to fill all my boxes and now I have enough hooks left over to replace lost flies etc.

Fully support Chris's comments.
Why try and save a relatively small amount of money on such a key link between you and a fish.
You'll struggle to use them all and then they will be prone to deterioration before you even get a tying on them.
And the quality has to be questionable.
Go with the tried and trusted - Kamasan, Hayabusa, Fulling Mill, Tiemco.
If you look round some of the trade members on here or reputable online retailers you will find good deals.
False economy to do otherwise!

I agree. But i think you will get many more than 200 for your 20£, unless they have gotten much more expensive as of late. I think they were 100 for under a fiver when i bought them last year, so i think you could get over 400 for 20. Try a search for o'reilly on here...

cheers

Yea I suppose it depends where you are buying them. I was going by buying them in a tackle shop, my local tackle shop sells them for £2.50 for 25 or £6.95 for 100 Kamasan Hooks. I recently bought Fulling Mill hooks from fordsflytying on this forum and they where very good value for money.
