Lightbulb Use Copper wire in your fly patterns?

And I should have added, lots of 'free'' copper wire? Found this link on a local board and thought "now that's a cool idea."

I've used copper wire for years on my small flies 12-16s, can't remember when I've used anything else other than that and gold.

I remember reading somewhere that Mr. Sawyer used only transformer wire for his PTN and stuff
