Default One for photography (and dabbler) nerds?

I have too much time on my hands at work and as a result I've knocked up this ring light. I'm pretty pleased with the results, it needs a bit of diffusion but certainly gets some light 'into' the fly. It cost peanuts, I recycle the LED's from a cheap lamp and made the body using the 3D printer at work.

And here's the results;

A bit over exposed in places, hence the need for a bit of diffusion, I might add a potentiometer to enable it to be dimmed as well.

Any comments greatfully received.

Steve

Wow. Diffusing the light shouldn't be an issue. Now you need to put in a setting to be able to change the amount of light in the bottom half versus the top and you will have the real deal.
