Default CDC Emerger... changing technique

Using a technique I often use for dun patterns, here's an smallish emerger:

Hook: Varivas 2200BL-B #20
Thread: Hends Synton, brown
Body: Orvis Spectrablend, cream
Wing: CDC, olive

why have you changed dave from the parachute ??? and is that split cdc for the wing ??

still nice though ..

Thanks Bruce. The different style is in addition to the parachute - not instead of. I like to have both - they offer different footprints and are suitable for different water types.

Both are nice ways of tying and presenting an emerger imitation.

It is indeed CDC fibres in a split thread.

Default clink/parachutes and cdc

I use comparadun cdc flies from the satrt to the end of the year on the rivers only changing to clinks/parachutes when i am fishing nymphs newzealand style and looking for extra bouyancy in the fly... But i know guys that swear by clinks/parachutes.
