Default Winged Wets

I've done a few Invicta's and Mallard & Claret type flies before, but never had a real go at 'proper' winged wets. So I thought I'd give it a go. The main thing I'm not sure about is what angle should the wing sit at. Some are like mine quite high, but others are much flatter. Which is 'right'?

Also, can anyone point me in the direction of an SBS or instructions showing a how to do a beard hackle - mine are a bit messy.

Blae and Black

Cinammon & Gold - I think the wing is a bit skinny

Comments greatfully received.

All the best - Steve

You'll have to excuse a philistine here, but I have no idea what Clyde style is - so I would guess the answer is no!

Nice finish & I don't think the wings are too sparse. Heads are quite small & neat.
Keep tying.

I think they are as well tied as any I have seen. Well done WF. I just can't wait until I can tie flies of that quality

Thanks Highlander, I've done a bit of research as well, and now have an idea what the Clyde style is, not sure why though!
