Cheers Nathan

What colour combos do you find most effective? I have only just started river fishing so my experience is pretty much nil (I have only caught on pale pink with a fluoro pink thorax atm). I am judging all my colour choice atm on what i like to look at and am hoping they work lol.

Any advice on a few combos to fill up the box with would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

@danielp- I've fished Wherwell good few times with great results. Usually I used half a dozen of nymphs- tungsten bead PT with pink and orange collar, full pink one, cased caddis but the greatest of all was tungsten head with body from Anchor 9426 wool ( cut to pieces and then mixed in coffee grinder).

Will try to upload some photos later on.

Regards,

Mike

P.S. The biggest grayling I had was 48 cm

Daniel
I dont know about Wherwells but up here after a season of getting pink things the size of your fist chucked at them i often find something smaller and more natural (greens ,brown etc) a bit more effective than something flashy.
Having said that on its day pink is still hard to beat.
