Default Klinky

I know this is probably sacrilege to many on here, but does a Klinkhammer really need a hackle?
I was tying some today and testing them in a big clear bowl of water.
The post seems to do all the work in holding up the fly.The hackle was in the film at best.
I know the hackle provides a footprint, and perhaps a little support in really rough water.
Perhaps I am tying them wrong??????

What's your take on this

As you have already mentioned support, what's to stop the fly from fishing on its side if there is no hackle?

I would have thought the hook would cock the fly as intended.
Well perhaps I am talking pish and should leave the Klinky alone and tie it as intended by Hans.

I suppose if you remove the hackle, it performs similar to a DHE
