Default My best grayling fly this winter...

...was this one.

I'm not saying it outfished the heavier bugs below it, but having been assigned the top dropper position (usually a bit of a hiding to nothing), it totally held its end up, and last time out I think it was top on the day.

Hook: B100 10
Underbody: lead wire over front half only
Body: spike guard hair, dyed yellow
Overbody: brown body stretch, ribbed gold wire

After tying, pick out the body dubbing to give a shrimpy impression.

Very nice fly Col,
I use something almost identical, but with Spectraflash for the back.
